T.B.Poe
Myrtocle (me-toe-gelle),

has been T.B.Poe's signature project since 2022.
Originally a parody of two of his favorite stage shows,
has turned into a full stage poem that expresses his style
as an artist and composer.
It highlights his values about story-telling,
depicting what he calls a 'new myth',
where a new universe is created and interpreted
from performer to viewer.

The Premise

Myrtocle, a blind woman, marries the man of her dreams.
Her sister rises from the grave and summons Cicero
(who she thinks is Apollo), praying to redirect
Myrtocle away from this 'blind love' and back to the
summer-girl, Beata she approves of. With a spirit on their side,
Beata begins the ritual, 'if she could see, really see me,
then she would understand'.
